We’ve improved what happens when your VPS uses its monthly traffic allowance. Previously, the connection was limited to 64 kbit/s after the grace allowance. From 5 October 2026, the limit is approximately 1 Mbps.
Your VPS stays online with no automatic overage charges. EDIS Global keeps your connection available at approximately 1 Mbps so you can maintain essential access, including SSH, basic RDP sessions, and important communications. You can still manage your server and access critical data after your traffic allowance runs out.
Rate limiting normally begins only after the approximately 5% grace allowance is exhausted. Full speed returns when you assign Pool Traffic, upgrade to a plan with more traffic, or reach the next monthly refill. No reboot is required.
